However, checkfelix ISN’T a travel agency: instead, it is an independent search engine: checkfelix inquires into the prices and rates of the websites of airlines, hotel providers, hotels and online travel agencies, as you would do manually – but simultaneously. Never before has it been so quick to search over 200 websites for available travel offers, and so easy to compare them.
Why do I get so many results back?
checkfelix not only finds a great deal of flights, hotels and rental cars: it also finds different prices and rates for one and the same flight or hotel. That is the crux of the matter at checkfelix: not only are all possible flight options and types of room found, but rather, various prices for one and the same product can be compared.
How up-to-date are the offers found by checkfelix?
All travel offers found by checkfelix are available at the displayed price the minute the search inquiry starts. Hence, we recommend a minimum time lapse between searching and booking.
Are the prices shown inclusive prices?
The prices displayed on checkfelix are always the final prices. This means: the sum total which is payable is displayed for the selected date, for all persons.
How can I book the desired offer?
checkfelix forwards you directly to the website of the provider. For most providers, it is sufficient to enter your name and credit card number to make the booking. On some pages, you need to re-select the desired offer.
Which rate of exchange does checkfelix use to convert prices in foreign currencies?
checkfelix uses the day-to-day rate of exchange. It could be that the converted price doesn’t match 100% with your credit card bill. There are a couple of reasons for this:
- Deviating rate of exchange (some credit card companies use a weekly or monthly average rate).
- Fees for paying by credit card in a foreign currency.
- If the accounting office is outside the EU or a transaction with a foreign currency (within the EU) is done, an additional fee of the credit card company may accrue.
